Class Description:
Basic and Intermediate. Among skills you'll learn and practice are reading topographic maps, planning routes, tracking distance traveled, and using terrain association to track present location. Using a map and compass, students travel through wooded and mountainous areas in small groups. Also included in the program is GPS instruction and field-expedient navigation techniques.
Class size: 6-10 persons.
COST & MATERIALS: $300.00 is the basic cost, which does not include flight, hotel, rental vehicle, or meals. Materials, which include military compass, map, and protractor, are provided and may be purchased after the course, $100 per set. Pace cords can be made or bought at the cost of $10 each. MREs (meals ready-to-eat) can be provided for the additional cost of $20 each.
DURATION & DATES: These classes are three-day weekends.
Custom programs can be designed for private groups. We can also send our instructors and curriculums anywhere in the United States as an MTT (Mobile Training Team) for private groups.
SPECOPS staff is also available to instruct private groups and for lectures. Programs for private groups will be specifically tailored to their desires to include location, duration and course content.
